Walker, Benjamin

Tall, well built, average frame. Not much special to be said about Benjamin's looks.

Sarcastic, clever, and quick on his feet, Ben is in every sense of the word... Mischievous, though to be frank he's also caring somewhere in that heart of his, and loving but most of all he understands. His observations don't serve him wrong, and his ability to balance everything come quite handy sometimes.

Ben is well rounded, a little rough around the edges but his strengths lie within. His moral code, and his crew give him his strength. He responds when others are threatened, usually with actions that result in the offender passing into the afterlife, and if possible it's a process he will pursue himself. He cares about his crew, even if they never realize it.

Benjamin was born on the New Berlin Lunar Colony in late 2347. Like many people born when he was, he lost his parents to the Cardassian War fighting for peace. He was in his 3rd year at the academy when he got the news and almost dropped out of the Academy until a few of his friends forced him to realize that he wasn’t the only one losing family members. With that in mind he remained at the Academy and graduated with honors from the Starfleet Command Training School two years after his Academy Graduation. In 2368 Benjamin received his first assignment as the Gamma shift Tactical Officer aboard the Saber Class USS T’khut.

While on shore leave in 2376 on Earth he was visiting Starfleet Academy and got bumped into by a Cadet hurrying to another class. Ben thought that she was kind of cute, but regulations forbid that kind of involvement between officers and cadets. However she had 2nd year cadet pips and the year was almost over, so he decided to see if he could find her again later that day. While looking for her he ran into her this time. Ben apologized and left for the night. The next day back on the Starfleet Academy Campus, she ran into him and just decided to ask him to dinner. Roughly a year and a half later, after she graduated, they married and were both transferred to the Intrepid Class USS Jameson, Ben as the Chief OPS officer, and Aurelia as a Beta Shift Security Officer.

In 2380 they were transferred again, this time to the Akira Class USS Resolute. Ben was promoted to Lt. Commander and First Officer, while Aurelia served as the Assistant Security Chief.

Late 2383 Ben was given Command of the Nova Class Refit USS Tempest along with his wife, who was serving as the Chief Security Officer until her death in early 2384. Wracked by grief and the belief that he couldn't be a parent alone he put baby Valencia up for adoption when she was less than 24 hours old...

Mid 2385 after almost 2 years in command of the Tempest Benjamin was again called on by Starfleet Command, this time to head a Starbase, Valhalla. Not only was it one of the largest bases constructed it also included a promotion to Commodore and then again, to Rear Admiral the next year. The Blackguard are the current thorn in the Admirals side, as they have been for many years, but information that his wife may be alive in some way have prompted a more aggressive stance with the threats to the Beta Antares sector...

2383 - Given Command of USS Tempest
2384 - Promoted to CAPT
2385 - Promoted to COM. Given Command of Starbase Valhalla
